2017 January Man of the Month, Jack Michaels
The first Man of the Month for 2017 is Jack Michaels, one of the founding members of the SL Confidential support group. The interview is by Editor-in-Chief Kay Windstorm.
Kay: Hi Jack, welcome to the offices of Second Life Confidential!
Jack: Hi Kay, thank you for having me. It’s great to be here.
Kay: Smiles, I know you’ve done porn in the past Jack, but our readers are probably unfamiliar with your work, can you describe your history in it for us?
Jack: My involvement in porn was primarily behind the camera, Kay. I directed six interracial porn films for my studio, Girl Next Door Productions. Although it’s been 2-1/2 years since I retired from the business, the films can still be seen online. http://girl-next-door-productions.blogspot.co.uk/
Kay: What brought you to Second Life in the first place Jack?
Jack: Back in 2009 an online acquaintance invited me here to experience a sexual fantasy we were role playing. I was soon deep into the alternate reality that SL offers and eventually started tinkering on the creative side.
Kay: What do you like to do in SL currently? Any favorite hobbies or SL activities you are involved in?
Jack: Currently, I own and maintain a sci-fi space-based sim called Jacksboro. In addition to the ground level, in includes four separate areas for sci-fi role play, with Mars and Lunar bases, a space station and a mining base in a remote star system.
Kay: Do you consider your ‘avi’ completely different from your RL personality ,or is it similar?
Jack: Jack is essentially a duplication of my RL personality in SL and he doesn’t behave any differently than I would.
Kay: Are there any projects you are working on right now, or would like to be doing in Second Life?
Jack: I’m just beginning to learn the basics of 3D modeling and creating mesh objects for use in SL. I don’t have any major sim projects going on at the moment, but I’m always upgrading Jacksboro to enhance the realism and make it fun place for people to visit.
Kay: We love you being a part of SL Confidential, and I’m so glad you’ve been a supporter of the magazine. Thank you so much for being a part of it!
Jack: Thank you for the hospitality, Kay. It was a pleasure to be here and I’m looking forward to future issues of the magazine. I haven’t been in front of the lens that often so it was fun to get a chance to do this with you.
Kay: Thanks for agreeing to do this Jack and welcome to the SLC family!
